On Passover in remembrance of Moses’s time, Israel sacrificed a lamb to atone for all their sins. A lamb of sheep or goats without blemish.
Yeshua was born in Bethlehem in a manger, where all the Passover lambs were kept until they were sacrificed for Passover. Yeshua became our Passover lamb.

Yeshua became the sacrificial lamb to die for our sins, so that we would be set free. That we would be able to exit our own personal Egypt. Without blemish, He was, without sin. He was the perfect sacrifice that redeemed mankind once and for all. On our own, we are not without sin, but when in Messiah, we are covered by His blood and His garment of righteousness that now resides within.
