HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: THE FIRST AND THE LAST

Messiah shall be referred to as the First and the Last. The meaning of the phrase “first and the last” was lost for years. But in ancient times, there was no mistaking its meaning. It meant Messiah would be none other than the Eternal God. Yeshua claimed to be the First and the Last in Revelation 1: 17 (NIV).

He claimed to be the Eternal God. And that He was. Eternal God who humbled Himself by coming into this world in a human body. And then also by dying on the cross for our sins. 

There is no mistaking the love our Father has for us. It is unconditional. And we have done nothing to earn it. An Eternal God desired to have us be part of His great family. And was willing to pay the price to establish it. 

So be not afraid to come boldly yet humbly to the throne. He relishes our presence. He loves us and adores us. We are His beloved children. But let us not also forget that He is God Almighty. We need to respect Him with the respect He deserves. 

Make no mistake, those who do not regard Him as worthy of respect do not walk in the fear of the Lord that keeps us in line. We need the fear of the Lord and the want to do right by Him, for that can bring about real change.
