BLOG SERIES: YESHUA IS MY LIGHT - 3. YESHUA, OUR BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR

INTRODUCTION

Astronomy can be a fascinating subject, especially from the perspective of its creation. Our creator is so innovative and creative. And through all His beautiful creations many times He speaks to us. Just like through morning stars - stars that become visible above the eastern horizon at dawn just before sunrise. The first body that gives light on that day. Yeshua happened to be one such star. The first fruit that rose back from the dead among many to come. He shed light on the character of Yahweh and the good that is to come.

THE FIRST TO RISE JUST LIKE A MORNING STAR

Though astronomy is not a great passion of mine, I do admit there are moments when it does fascinate me. The stars, the sun, and other bodies were all created by one - Yahweh. And magnificent they are. It shows just how creative our Yahweh is and how He can use even nature to speak to us.

Among the many amazing movements happens to be the so-called heliacal rising. An occurrence where a star becomes visible above the eastern horizon at dawn just before sunrise, becoming to be known as a morning star. It is the first body of the sky that gives light to the day on that particular day. (1)

Yeshua came to be our morning star. He was the first to rise back to life after crucifixion. The first fruit of Yahweh, the first to rise back from the dead. He is the first in a line of many who have and will yet follow. A light that showed what was to come. A sign of the approaching Kingdom that was to be established here on Earth. An everlasting kingdom that will never end.

CONCLUSION

To conclude, Yeshua is our morning star. He came as the first to bring light to the world and is the first to rise back from the dead. The first fruits of Yahweh. He showed us the only way into the Kingdom and proclaimed the good that is to come. And He shed light on the character of our Creator and His love.
