Ephesians 1:5 (KJV)

Big Family

INTRODUCTION

Life can be rather harsh at times. It has an uncanny way of testing our faith. Surviving and maneuvering through its hardships can be painful and downright disheartening. Having family and trusting friends beside us though can help lessen the pain. Some though may find themselves without any friends or family. Or misunderstood and estranged from them. Perhaps even outcasted and rejected. What about them?

REMEMBERED AND PART OF A BIG FAMILY

Walking with the Lord can result in one feeling estranged, misunderstood, or even isolated from their loved ones and friends. And support can be hard to find when your closest ones can not understand because of their lack of belief. That can make one feel lonesome at times, unheard, unseen, and maybe even forgotten. Have you been feeling so? Feeling misunderstood? Alone, unheard, forgotten? Or maybe, you truly have lost your family through tragedy?

Even if all of your surroundings are screaming at you that you are alone, it is but a lie. Abba said in Isaiah 49: 15-16 (KJV), “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

In some cases, all that is needed is a shift in perspective. There may be people around us who will assist us and will be willing to hear us. Yet, even if the whole world truly had rejected or forgotten about you, let me reassure you that our Heavenly Father in Heaven never will and will always love and remember you. We are never truly alone, if nothing else God is always there with us! Though estranged we were from Him because of the initial sin, His love for us never died out. He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins. All so we would be forgiven and redeemed, adopted back onto Him. No more are we estranged from Him. We are now part of His Big Family and will be for all eternity. As Yeshua said in Matthew 12: 46-50 (NIV), “While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

We are not alone, we are part of a Big Family. Even if our circumstances say the opposite, the truth is, that we are already seated in Heavenly places with Yeshua. We are already with our fellow brothers and sisters in Heaven.

CONCLUSION

Estranged we were from our Creator. The initial sin has brought much death, destruction, and hatred into the world. As a result, some have lost all their loved ones and others become estranged from their families. Without support and any help. But Abba, our Heavenly Father, loved us too much to forsake us. He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins and redeem us back unto Him. He adopted us into His Big Family.

We are redeemed
