14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5: 14-16 (NIV)

Air balloons in the morning rise of the sun

Satan and his kingdom of darkness fight daily to snuff out our light. That is their goal. To extinguish our light. But here is the truth: THEY CAN’T!

Defeat after defeat. Breakthrough is just around the corner and BOOM; something takes you out of peace, out of your comfort zone, and into sin. Sounds familiar? Is this something you have been experiencing?

Let me tell you it sure has happened to me. Too many times to count. And it always made me feel as though I ended up in a worse position than I started at. As though I downgraded. And after the first couple of times, it started to drag me down. I wondered when it would be my time to shine.

Just when I thought it was my time to shine, something always intervened. Every single time. The enemy came to snuff out the fire. It most certainly appeared many times as I was just about to receive my breakthrough. Tried to block me, prevent me from prospering,

prevent me from being seen or heard. Have you ever felt like that? As if your light was being suffocated right out of you? Have you also experienced failure after failure? Or maybe you are always the one left behind, while everyone else has gotten promoted? Perhaps you too have had to deal with unbelievable warfare just before a breakthrough was about to be reached.

You know what? It is all in vain. All the effort they put forth in trying to defeat us is in vain. We are already victorious. That verdict is written with the blood of Yeshua in the Book of Life.

Yeshua was the light of the world. And though the enemy thought they managed to completely extinguish that light by crucifying Him, upon resurrection His light began to shine once more. And I would dare to say even brighter. They could not quench His light! Nor can they smother ours! The darkness can not extinguish our light for Yeshua is our light! Even better; the darkness flees from THE LIGHT. And so will every enemy flee from you! So keep on shining ever brightly as has been destined for you.

The enemy tries to prevent us from prospering or receiving that miracle or blessing. Usually, the attacks come right before our greatest breakthrough, to rob us of our joy and the impending blessing. To snuff out our LIGHT. But no one can extinguish our LIGHT. Our LIGHT is Yeshua Himself. And the darkness flees from Him, from THE LIGHT. And so they shall flee from us.

I am the light of this world through Yeshua. The darkness can not extinguish my light! I will keep on shining!
