Messiah was to ransom people from the power of the grave and break the sting of sin.
Yeshua defeated death once and for all. On the third day after being buried, He rose from the dead, as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NIV).

Death’s sting holds no power against us anymore. The law gave us knowledge about sin. It gave us knowledge of right and wrong and introduced the need for a penalty, which in many cases is death.
Death was and still is a very real thing. The majority of humans were and are afraid of it and remain in bondage to that fear. Many are also bound by shame and condemnation as a result of their sins. But with the introduction of Yeshua, now that fear is broken. Now we are forgiven.
Even if we happen to sin, we repent and are forgiven. No longer are we in bondage. No longer do we need to run from God, but now we run to Him. We run to Him to receive forgiveness. To receive forgiveness already secured and the victory already won.
