HE CAME TO FULFILL - BURIAL, RESURRECTION, ASCENSION: NOT LEFT IN SHEOL

Yeshua was resurrected back to life. He was not left in Sheol, Hades. The place where the dead went to rest after dying before Yeshua rose back from the dead. He was not abandoned to the realm of the dead as further explained in Acts 2 29: 3 (NIV).

Hades is the temporary place where souls go to reside before the day of judgment. Per the Book of Enoch, the souls of the dead reside in Sheol. There are four compartments:
The first holds the righteous dead
The second holds sinners who were never punished in life
The third holds those who were murdered and cry out for justice
The fourth holds the watchers who corrupted humanity
The lake of fire is the last level beneath the Earth and is currently empty and awaiting final judgment. After Yeshua was resurrected, some of the saints were raised to life. This was not merely a spiritual event. They physically rose back to life and appeared to many. Some claim that they died again, while others say they ascended into Heaven with Yeshua or soon after. I believe the first to be true. Only in the end will we receive incorruptible bodies.
In general, it is nowadays believed that all believers, once they die, go straight to Heaven. There are other views out there, too, but what really matters is that with the finished work of Yeshua, our final destination has been secured. Once we die here on Earth, our spirits will await the future kingdom to come, where our bodies will be resurrected and rendered incorruptible.
