The word beloved is described in International Standard Bible Encyclopedia as “A term of affectionate endearment common to both Testaments”. Messiah was to be endeared, beloved by God. One whom God, the Father, would cherish and love with an agape love.
Yeshua at His commissioning heard the fated words, “This is my Son …” as recorded in Matthew 3: 17 (NIV).

Announced he was as the Son of God. A public decree for the Savior of the world. A public display of affection and exaltation. Our Abba loves us as well. He loves to lavish us with good gifts and fun times while we are on Earth.
And the humble He exalts. Let not the good gifts and accomplishments lead us to covet the praise of men, though. And let the material things of this world not become our primary focus. We should always have our eyes fixed on the Messiah and His Kingdom. When we pursue the Kingdom of God and righteousness, good things shall be added to us.
