HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: HIS SOUL WAS AN OFFERING FOR SINS

God promised that the soul of the Messiah would be an offering for the sins of many. Upon the cross, Yeshua hung for many hours. He hung there for our sins to be forgiven as confirmed in Matthew 20: 28 (NIV). 

Our soul is consistent of emotions, heart, and mind. And this is where the warfare was. He was attacked through mockery, betrayal, … His soul suffered so that we would be forgiven. All so that the spirit could be released upon us after. His soul was an offering for ours. 

His soul was sinless and never succumbed to the flesh, but listened to God alone. Listened to the Holy Spirit and none other. And though He was tempted, He did not fail. His soul died, so that we would see eternal life once more. 

Submitting ourselves to God and renewing our minds in the likeness of Yeshua gives us the strength to be cleansed of the impurity of our own hearts. And ultimately, that is the place from which all sin originates – evil thoughts of our heart. 

But if we renew our hearts, seek our identity in God alone, 

cleansed we are from the stench of our stony heart of old.
