HE CAME TO FULFILL - LATTER DAYS AND SECOND COMING: HOUSE OF GOD

The Messiah was to build a house for God. Yeshua has and will. His body became the eternal tabernacle. He became King over all Israel, as Jacob noted in Luke 1:33 (NIV).

Hebrew scholars teach that scripture operates on 4 levels simultaneously:
direct
hinting
commentary, comparison
hidden (1)
Each passage can therefore point to several meanings. The temple is called the House of God. 1 Chronicles 17: 12 points to and was directly fulfilled by Solomon. But it also points to the Messiah, that is Yeshua. Yeshua already fulfilled this passage. His body was broken beyond recognition and was resurrected after 3 days and 3 nights. He equated His body with the Temple of God. And it is true. Even our bodies are considered temples of the Holy Spirit. He now resides within us.
But going beyond that is the question of the Third and Millennial Temple. Jews expect that it will be rebuilt. For prophecy to take place, the Third Temple will have to be built. But it will also be defiled, perhaps destroyed. Before the Great Judgment Day, Yeshua will rule for a 1000 years with His bride. During this time, a temple will be standing. Is this the Third Temple or is this a fourth Millennial Temple? I am not quite sure, but temple services will once more commence. Yeshua will be the one serving as the High Priest and might be the one who will build the Millennial Temple. On Judgment Day, the righteous will receive their restored bodies and so there will be no need for a Temple anymore in the New Jerusalem and world. (2)
