The betrayer of the Messiah was to be replaced by another in ministry. Yeshua walked closely with 12 of His disciples. Yet, there was one who did not actually believe in Him.
Judas Iscariot was not actually clean. He looked over Yeshua's treasure vault. Sadly, he was not trustworthy; he was a thief. And he ended up being a betrayer too. The quilt hit him, and he committed suicide.
After Yeshua rose from the dead and ascended, a new disciple was selected to replace Judas as written in Acts 1: 16-20 (NIV).

God appoints people to positions of authority, and He also removes the wicked when needed. We should never try through our own efforts to remove these unrighteous authority figures by trying to manipulate situations. In God’s timing and according to His will, it will be done. After all, He is still sovereign over all creation. If He so decides, He can remove any authority figure from that position. We, on the other hand, should keep loving them, respecting them, and praying for them.
