HE CAME TO FULFILL - PERSECUTION: GRIEVED DISCIPLES

Messiah was to be persecuted and struck; His disciples were to be grieved. And as the shepherd was struck down, so His disciples were scattered. Yeshua foretold it would be so in Matthew 17: 22-23 (NIV).

Struck and persecuted by the enemy was our shepherd. And so many times are we. A target is drawn on our backs. In certain seasons, attack after attack, we may suffer. It may even look like we are losing the battle. But you know what? That is all the enemy has – the only weapon he has against us is his cunning ways of trying to convince us that we are losing, that we are alone. That we are unloved.
He tries to get us to despair. He did no different with Yeshua. He struck Him mightily by the very people He was sent to save. And it looked as though all hope was lost. But that was all a lie. In reality, Yeshua was winning, and when He was nailed on the cross, it was finished. He won. And guess what, so will you!
