HE CAME TO FULFILL - PERSECUTION: TARGET FOR STONING

Both Moses and David were threatened with stoning after disappointment hit the people they led. Yeshua too was threatened multiple times, as confirmed in Romans 1: 4 (NIV). 

Remain still and know that the Lord shall fight for thee. If it is not your time, it is not. Many times they attempted to kill Yeshua, but they could not lay their hands upon Him, for it was not yet His time. When you are truly under God’s protection, no evil can touch you, unless, as in the case of Yeshua, something is set in stone like His death was. 

When Ahab was told He would die at Ramot Gilead, He went to battle alongside the king of Judah. He changed his clothes and told the king of Judah not to. He tried to hide himself from death, yet it still came upon him, while the king of Judah cried to Adonai and was saved.
