The three shepherds will not care for a fair trial because the Messiah will be detested by the flock. The desire for self-preservation will motivate them not to help. Yeshua did not object, for His sacrifice was necessary. But The three shepherds were dealt with swiftly soon after Yeshua was resurrected back to life and ascended into Heaven for their unfair treatment of Yeshua as mentioned in Luke 23: 1-2 (NIV).

The three shepherds we are talking about are Pilate, Herod, and Caiaphas. Though they could save Yeshua, they chose instead to let an innocent man die. They probably feared for their positions. Their positions were put at risk by the arrival of Yeshua. That fear fueled anger and hatred to harbor in their hearts. And it is that hatred that blinded them to such an extent that they were willing to crucify a completely sinless person.
Fear has made many great men stumble and fall. And apparently, it was no different this time. In reality, all our sins are rooted in fear – in the fear of death. These men feared their careers would die, and that their finances would decrease. They feared they would not prosper as much. That fear led them to that abominable sin.
The antidote to this fear is the perfect love of God. Nothing else can set us free. The perfect love our Father has for us is the answer. Only His perfect love can cast out all fear.
