HE CAME TO FULFILL - TRIAL AND CRUCIFIXION: HEALED BY HIS STRIPES

It was prophesied Messiah would have to endure scourging so that all who would believe would be healed. 

Death by crucifixion was an excruciating death in itself. It was painful and the worst of the methods of execution one had to endure. If that was not horrible enough, Yeshua also had to endure abuse before scourging. He was severely beaten so that we would be healed, as stated in 1 Peter 2:24 (NIV).  

He was greatly tormented and tortured for our sakes. That is a proven account, even based on secular historians. He endured it all so that we would be healed. 

Sin wounds our soul. And to be healed from that wound, sin needed to be paid for and removed. Yeshua, through His stripes and by the shedding of His blood, paid for our sins and healed our souls. It is an exchange: we exchange our brokenness for His perfect health.
