The Messiah was to thirst while on the cross. Under the scorching sun, the victims of crucifixion usually had to suffer. Yeshua had it no different. While on the cross, He began to thirst and expressed the desire for a drink as written John 19: 28 (NIV)

Separated from God for the first time and suffering a great deal of pain, Yeshua thirsted physically and spiritually. He was thirsty for His Abba. Thirsty for righteousness and justice.
After enduring so much unjustly, of course, He thirsted for justice to come. And still, He trusted Abba that He would justify Him. When thirsty for justice ourselves, let us turn to God, who can help. Let Him bring justice at His perfect timing. Let Him restore our souls and bring life to those dead areas.
