HE CAME TO FULFILL - TRIAL AND CRUCIFIXION: PIERCED HANDS AND FEET

Messiah’s hands and feet will be pierced. Pierced they shall be, says Psalm 22: 16b. Pierced were the hands and feet of Yeshua. Nails were driven into His hands and feet when He was mounted upon the cross. The marks remained with Him even after He was resurrected back to life, as written in John 20:25 (NIV). 

Imagine being immobilized on the cross. Literally nailed on it, and every breath you take is excruciatingly difficult. On top of it all, you are not even guilty of anything. 

Yet there you are, and not even able to move and escape. Not that Yeshua would. He was faithful in His obedience till His last breath. Truly remarkable what He was willing to do for us. For a short while, He suffered and in the end received eternal glory. 

Perhaps you, too, feel as though you’ve been backed into a wall? Let me tell you, you have won already. Your victory has been secured. Everything works for the betterment of those who love God. Also, Yeshua said in Matthew 16: 25 (NIV), “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”
