HE CAME TO FULFILL - TRIAL AND CRUCIFIXION: REPULSIVE TO HIS FRIENDS

It was prophesied in Psalm 88: 8 that the Messiah would be taken and made repulsive, a reproach, to His friends.
When Yeshua hung on the cross, this prophecy came to pass. Everyone who walked with Him watched from afar. He was alienated from His friends and family, as confirmed in Luke 23: 49 (NIV).

Real friends are hard to find, especially in this era of technology. I suggest you stick with those who will be willing to stand with you in the rain when they can be dry. People who will encourage you and not just abandon you. People who will be willing to put their hand into fire for you.
Though the disciples genuinely loved the Messiah, they still fled because of fear. They were afraid of the unknown and death. The very thing Yeshua came to free us from. In reality, at the end of the day, the only one we can trust is none other than God. In certain circumstances, only He has the answers and the wisdom to overcome.
