HE CAME TO FULFILL - TRIAL AND PERSECUTION: THE OFFERING OF ISAAC

The offering of Isaac on Mount Moriah was a prophetic declaration, or rather an act depicting the future sacrifice of the Messiah, God’s Son, on the very same mountain. 

Yeshua was crucified on Golgotha, the very same place as Mount Moriah, as mentioned in John 3: 16 (NIV).

In the life of every believer, God should always be number one in our hearts. Luke 14: 26 is an often misunderstood passage in the scriptures that points to this. 

“If any man comes to Me and does not have much more love for Me than for his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be My follower.

Luke 14: 26 (NIV)

Many claim this passage gives us permission to hate and disrespect our parents, but the commandment to honor them was not abolished. The verse commands us to love and honor God to such a level that even the love we have for our parents and siblings pales in comparison. Let us love our God with all of our minds and hearts.
