The Messiah will be set as King of Jerusalem in Zion. Yeshua was asked if He was the One, the Messiah. He confirmed that He was in Mark 14: 61-62 (NIV). Once He comes on the clouds, He will be established as King of Jerusalem on Zion.

Zion is known as New Jerusalem. The word Zion, among many other things, means Holy place and the Kingdom of Heaven.
The ancient Hebrew word Tsiyon (Zion) is “a Canaanite hill fortress in Jerusalem captured by David and called in the Bible ‘City of David.’" Zion can refer to one of three places: the hill where the most ancient areas of Jerusalem stood; the city of Jerusalem itself; or the dwelling place of God. (1)
So the word Zion can mean three things. When Yeshua arrives the second time, He will establish God’s Kingdom here on Earth. And it will be established in Jerusalem. All will come to worship the Messiah there. All will seek the Kingdom of God, His beauty, counsel, and guidance. The city, many times destroyed and heavily besieged, will now have the Prince of Peace reigning amongst its midst.
Zion can also mean the dwelling place of God. We as Christians are the temple of the Most High. His Spirit now resides within us. God’s Kingdom is already here and now. It is established in us and can be manifested outwards and brought into the world surrounding us through our obedience and every good deed.
