HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: CLEANSER OF LEPROSY

Leprosy was one of the deadliest diseases in ancient times. It also happened to be highly contagious. People who sadly got infected were stuck being isolated. And not merely that, in most cases, they were to stay outside of the gates of the city. 

They were pretty much doomed to death unless healed. So we can only imagine the pure joy of the leper that Yeshua healed in the accounts of Luke 5: 12-14 (NIV) must have felt. In an instant, from being ostracized and isolated, he was once more allowed to walk among his people, freed and fully cleansed. 

Like leprosy, sin begins as something small but eventually grows into something big. It dulls the senses, separates us from loved ones, can make us unclean, and affects our vision. It can have devastating results. Sin was rampant in ancient times, as it is sadly today. There used to be no cure, until Yeshua came and did the unthinkable. 

With His finished work on the cross, He cleansed every single one of us from sin just like He cleansed that leper. His blood is more than enough to heal us from sickness, and it is more than enough to provide forgiveness of any sin. It is precious and Holy. And it has also secured our purity. Now we are pure before Him. Just as is Yeshua, our Lord and Saviour, God Almighty.
