HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: HE WILL FEED HIS FLOCK

Messiah will feed His flock as a shepherd does. He will take good care of them. He will be gentle, especially to those with young. Yeshua fed the lost and weary sheep of Israel. He had compassion on them as written in Mark 6: 34 (NIV).

Sheep can not find food for themselves. They need a shepherd to take them to green pastures so they can feed. Just like a shepherd, the Messiah leads us towards green pastures, so we can graze on food that gives spiritual life and brings true life and peace.
Sheep are also known to fall to the ground, turn upside down with their hooves in the air – they are cast down. And if no one comes to their aid, they die.
We were like that, still may be. We need our Shepherd to guide us to green pastures and still waters and to come to our aid when discouragement casts us down. To bring us hope. Sometimes we are in the wrong places, looking to be fed. But that place is not nourishing for us.
Yeshua is faithful to lead us out of those places of discouragement, those dry places, onto green pastures full of grass we can feed on. He is willing, but are we? Are we willing to let go of what may not be the best for us? Give it all to Yeshua; leave it all on the altar. Let Him lead the way to places that are good and perfect for us to feed in this season. Only then will we see life spring forth in those dry places.
