HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: HEAD OF THE BODY

Messiah was to reach up to the neck. The term "He shall reach up to the neck" is a Hebrew idiom for the head, the leader. The leader of Judah will be the Messiah, also referred to as Immanuel. In other words, the Messiah was to be and will be the leader of Judah. 

And the Messiah of the Old Testament concealed is Christ of the New Testament revealed. (1). 

They are the same. Israel was supposed to, as a single unit, reveal Yahweh to the world. That has not changed. Now the Church has joined Israel with the assignment to reveal Christ to the world. And if we see Him, we have seen the Father. 

The church is the body of Yeshua. And we are called to work together in harmony, though we are different members of the Body. Yeshua is the Head, as in the leader, as stated in Colossians 1: 18 (NIV).

He is the one whose example we follow. It is Him we need to aspire to become more like. The more like Him we become, the more the world gets to know Him through us. And then they get to know God the Father better, too. That is our goal. To glorify Him. And testifying to His goodness by doing good deeds is the best way to go. And it leads to us becoming who we have always been ordained to become, and in so doing, fulfilling our destinies.
