Messiah was to come humbly to Jerusalem. He was to be very lowly, humble in nature, and gentle. His gentleness was to be well accepted and craved for. It was to be a healing balm to the weary and burdened. An easy yoke, not hard to carry.
Yeshua was a humble man, one of meekness and integrity. His yoke was easy to carry as described in Matthew 11: 28-30 (NIV).

Meekness is the quality of the strong. It is an action where one chooses not to use all their available capacity to the full. It is an action of allowing oneself to use and implement some margins. At the end of the day, it is the meek that shall inherit the land. Truly, it is a righteous person who leaves behind for their children’s children a legacy. At the end of the day. They are our legacy, at least a significant part of it. Those people whom we will influence are our legacy. (1)
Yeshua never asked others to speak about Him. He was very humble and wanted it no other way. On more than one occasion, He asked others not to speak of Him, not to tell others about Him. He did not want fame. He did not do what He did for glory. He did it because He loved people and could not watch them wandering around as lost sheep without a shepherd.
Let us grow in that kind of deep love, steadily improving with each day. When others come to us, and we feel too tired, let us try to see them through Yeshua’s lenses as the lost sheep without a shepherd. The lost sheep are in desperate need of guidance and help. Alone we can not, but with Yeshua and through Yeshua, we will overcome and be able to extend. Let us also not forget that we are a work in progress, too. As we are merciful toward others, let us not forget to be merciful with ourselves, too.
