HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: ONE SHEPHERD

Shepherds lead, and they guide sheep. Among all the different kinds of animals our Creator has created, sheep happen to be considered one of the dumbest. They require assistance and guidance in all aspects. And when they topple over, they need saving too. They fully rely on their master.

Messiah was to come as a shepherd ready to guide the people of Israel to victory and triumph. And Yeshua fulfilled that, too. He taught people great things and amazed them with His wisdom, as Matthew records in chapter 13, verse 54 (NIV).

He set many free and taught principles that produced great fruitfulness, and He called people back to Abba, His Father. He shepherded them to truth. Actually, He was the truth, He was the Word of God made flesh. 

Now we are asked to rely on Him as He relied on Abba. He leads us and protects us. He guides us towards green pastures and living water. He is the way to eternal life, and no other way exists. He is the only way. And if we follow Him, eternal life and true wealth we will find. For He is our Wealth. Being in Covenant with Him is what gives us favor, not any work of our own.
