HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: OPENED EAR

Messiah’s ear was to be opened and He was not to rebel. He was to remain obedient unto God’s ways to the full. Despite how hard it was, Yeshua did not disobey. Though He prayed the cup would pass Him by, He remained submitted under God’s will for His life. He still was ready to drink from the cup if God so decided as described in Matthew 26: 38-39 (NIV).

The Lord says in Hosea 6: 6 (ESV), “For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.” Mere sacrifice and following of ritualistic traditions is religion. In it there is no room for genuine relationship with the Lord. It is simply about self-righteousness and self-works.
But God wishes for obedience and not simply sacrifice. It matters to Him that we do not exert our own will, but leave it all to be done according to His. Religion is all performance based, there is no room for real faith, nor for love.
As Paul warned in 1 Corinthians 13: 2 (NIV), “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.” Love is the answer to all. If we love God and others, then we automatically fulfill the Law as Yeshua confirms in John 14: 15, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments”.
Love is the answer to all. It will lead us to great places and help us fulfill our destinies.
