HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: PARABLE SPEAKER

The Messiah was to teach by using parables. It was all so that an ancient prophecy would be fulfilled. Yeshua did fulfill it as stated in Matthew 13: 34-35 (NIV).

There was another reason why He taught in parables. It was so he would sift through the weeds and the wheat. Yeshua taught people who earnestly sought Him. But those who did not, He taught in parables. This way, a simple illustration held a deeper meaning. One had to ponder to glean the deeper meaning. They had to meditate on the teaching, the word. This way, I believe He was also teaching them to be disciplined in the studying of the Word.
Those who were not actually interested in following Yeshua quickly fell away. They thought His teachings were probably rubbish. But, you could not glean true meaning through mere human reasoning; God had to breathe upon it. And those who persisted with Yeshua, and kept seeking, received the real meaning.
The Holy Spirit now resides on the inside of us, and John 14: 26 (NIV) says, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” He breathes upon the Word of God we read and quickens it into a live, rhema word that produces lasting results.
We do nothing apart from God. It is He who reveals, it is He who heals, it is He who delivers. We are merely the vessels of His glory. And He is already seated with God the Father in Heaven. So we too are already victorious since we are in Him and He in us. it is already finished.
