HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: TEACHER

Messiah was to come as a teacher to reveal the things of God. To reveal the Word of God, reintroduce teachings that bring life and allow us to prosper in our ways. 

The Word of the Lord is living and active in dividing our thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4: 12). It reveals to us the hidden motives of our hearts. Not to condemn us but to bring our evil deeds into the light so that we may be transformed by the renewal of our minds (Romans 12:2). 

And Yeshua was none other than the Word of God Himself, as stated in John 1: 14 (NIV), “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Yeshua, as the Word of God, taught the lost sheep the hidden meaning of the teachings they were familiar with yet could not fully understand, as says Matthew 7: 29 (KJV). 

Reading and meditating on the Word of God is therefore imperative for every believer. Not merely imperative, it is also a privilege. A privilege to show ourselves approved unto God.

Teaching about God was reserved for the Levites. When Yeshua started to teach others, it did not sit well with the Pharisees. Multiple times, they asked Him by whose authority He was teaching, healing, and casting out demons. They taught that He was using the power of demons to cast out demons. 

He tried to reason with them on many occasions. But they were beyond reasoning with. Yeshua was God; He had the ultimate authority over the Law. He was the only one who could correctly interpret it, and that is why the Pharisees, who were so stuck with their traditions, ended up having such a problem with Yeshua’s teaching. They were unfamiliar to them, and nothing like the traditions they taught men.
