HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: WISDOM OF THE WISE DESTROYED

A great work Yahweh was to do in Israel. A work that would destroy the wisdom of the wise and confound them. And it was to be so through the message of the Messiah. The very message of Yeshua and the cross that to this day befuddles many, as affirmed in 1 Corinthians 1: 18-19 (NIV). 

The wisdom of this world is nothing but mere foolishness before God. In many cases it promotes humanism and builds one towards pride – pride in their own achievements. Oh how great the irony is, that relying on the cross is consider nothing but foolishness to them. 

They do not believe in God or that they need Him. A dangerous ideology that will cost many their lives. The simplicity of the cross suggests self-sacrifice and the glorifying of God even to the point of being willing to die. It is about putting others first all for the glory of God and being loving and merciful. Being willing to carry their burdens alongside them. 

But above all it represents the need for a savior. Humans needed a savior, or all of us would have perished. But instead God has made the way. He has made the way for salvation to come. Now once more we are redeemed unto Him. When before deprived we were of life, for there is no life apart from Him, now we are recipients of eternal life and His empowerment to achieve anything through Him.
