HE CAME TO FULFILL - COMMISSIONING AND MINISTRY: YOUR KING IS COMING

Messiah was to be proclaimed as King in Jerusalem. Recognized, He was to be. Recognized and praised by the people of Jerusalem.

Yeshua was recognized as King of Israel by the people, as Pilate questioned Him regarding it in John 18: 37 (ESV). 

The people of Jerusalem recognized Yeshua as their King. They sang praises to Him upon His arrival in Jerusalem. They proclaimed Him King and Messiah. From the mouths of the least likely, He was glorified. 

Sadly, these very same people quickly forgot about Yeshua when He was about to be crucified. The betrayal must have run deep. How fickle we humans can be. One day they praise you, the next day they demand your head. Truly like sheep without a shepherd. 

And aren’t we glad, now that has changed. No longer are we being led astray. Instead,, Yeshua Himself, as THE SHEPHERD, is leading us to salvation and glory. And no more are we double-minded like that. Through allowing our minds to be renewed every day, we are becoming more and more in His likeness. A brand new creation we are. The past is no more. The new we have become, one full of God’s light and glory. Full of purpose and destiny. And knowing our identity is key to fulfilling that destiny.
