HE CAME TO FULFILL - NATIVITY: A SEED OF PROMISE

Despite the flood wiping out all the rebellious humans except Noah and His family, the offspring of Noah’s sons and grandsons still managed to turn away from godly and righteous behavior. They turned to the worship of many idols. And the true Creator seemed almost as though all but forgotten. 

The people of a city called Ur happened to be no different. They were known for their moon-worshipping. And despite their less-than-standard background, Yahweh called forth a man named Abram. He chose him as the founder of a brand new nation.  

Abram responded to the call and followed Yahweh into the land unknown to him. For his faithfulness, Yahweh blessed Abraham wherever he went and was a protective shield around him. And he promised that his seed would inherit this land upon which he stood. And that seed - not seeds but one seed - happened to be none other than Yeshua Himself as it is written in Galatians 3: 16 (NIV). (1)

Through His finished work on the cross, by responding to the call on His life - the call of a Savior of all humanity - and fully trusting God with His life and laying it down for many, He received back the very life He was willing to part with and also all authority on Earth and in Heaven. 

We, too, are all called to fulfill a certain role or assignment. It is upon us to receive the call and step out in faith as Abram and Yeshua had. Believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Believe that if you step out, He will follow through and partner with you. He will fulfill whatever He has promised and bring you to the finish line.
