Messiah was to be begotten by God. He was to be fathered by God Himself. All so that the law would truly be fulfilled. And it came to be when Mary was overshadowed as written in Luke 1: 35 (NIV). (1)

Yeshua was born 9 months later. And though the church has believed His birth to be on December 25th, the real date of His birth is not mentioned in the scripture.
There are many theories about the real date of birth. Going by scripture, if the shepherds, also described as wise men in the gospels, visited Him at birth, it is impossible that He would have been born on the 25th of December. In December, the shepherds were not out with the sheep in the fields. It is much more likely that He was born at the beginning of Sukkot, as it would make sense theologically too. (2)
Sukkot, known as the Feast of Tabernacles, is fast approaching us. It is one of the feasts of God and a Jewish celebration commemorating the time when God dwelt with Israel in tents. He dwelt with them in the tabernacle.
Yeshua fulfilled that image. He came to dwell with Israel once more, this time in a human body. After He ascended, the Holy Spirit was released. He dwells on the inside of each believer and empowers us to accomplish God’s will.
