The stem of a plant may seem insignificant compared to the beautiful leaves and colorful petals. Yet it keeps the flower standing and allows sustenance to be transported to the leaves and petals, which is vital for the flower's health.
In like manner, it was the least significant son of Jesse who was selected to be King. David wasn’t picked because of his tall stature or because he appeared strong. God selected Him because of His heart. And it was promised that the Messiah would come from his lineage. As always, God’s word was kept. In Luke 3: 23-32 (KJV) we can see the Messiah’s lineage proving He is a descendant of Jesse. (1)

Sometimes we may feel as though we are undeserving, unqualified, or just plainly not good enough. But God does not always choose the qualified. He is known to use that which is foolish to confound the wise. He qualifies the unqualified.
Is there something He has called you to do that seems unreachable or impossible to you? Let Him speak once more and reveal the plans underneath, as He may have before.
