The loss of innocent lives. Death itself is hard to deal with, but when it hits children, those innocent beings who should by all means not know anything else but joy and happiness, it hits the majority of us extremely hard.
Though times were much harsher back then, the loss of innocent children was still deeply grieved. It was said by the Lord that there would be great weeping in Ramah, a prophecy which came to pass right at the time of Yeshua’s birth as mentioned in Matthew 2: 16-18 (NIV).

In an attempt to kill Yeshua, the future King, Herod had two whole male generations wiped out. There was much lamentation and weeping. How does one see reason in this? How can one find hope and light after such an ordeal?
I may never know, how the people of Bethlehem responded for years to come, but I do know that no matter the amount of pain, no matter the kind of wound, no matter how deep the despair is present, Yahweh can heal it all. He can heal the impossible. Yeshua was their actual target, yet still they could not take Him out. Nor will they be able to take you. You’re victory is safe and secure.
