In His Perfect Image
 

Messiah was to reveal the hidden things of the Kingdom of God to those who earnestly sought it and the generations to come. And that is why Yeshua taught in parables

Messiah was to come as a teacher to reveal the things of God. To reveal the Word of God, reintroduce teachings that bring life and allow us to prosper in our ways. 

The Hebrew word for blessing is berakah. It is rooted in the word barak, meaning to bless, to kneel. The greatest blessing of all is knowing Yeshua HaMaschiach.  

Messiah was to have a special heart for the poor. A special heart for those in need of healing, deliverance, and comfort. Abba is the closest to the brokenhearted.

Messiah will feed His flock, take good care of them, and be gentle, especially to those with young children. Yeshua fed the lost and weary sheep of Israel.

Messiah was to be the shepherd who would lead His people into eternal life. A life that is unfading, long-lasting, and full of peace, joy, and happiness. Yeshua was.

Messiah was to grow, learn as a man, and gain wisdom through suffering. Yeshua learned obedience from what He suffered and acquired a well-instructed tongue.

Shepherds lead and guide sheep. Among all the animals our Creator has created, sheep happen to be considered one of the dumbest. Yeshua came as a shepherd to guide.

All the world was lost and separated from God. All were, and some are, wandering about doing their own thing like sheep gone astray, seeking merely their own gain.

Messiah was not to be recognized by Israel. As with many other prophets, He was to be rejected and killed. Israel's blindness led to history repeating itself.

Wonderful Messiah was to be called. Wonderful, or in Hebrew pele. It means wonder, wonderful, and can describe wonders, that is, miracles (1). Yeshua was wonderful.

Messiah was to come to open the eyes of the blind, so that they would once more be able to see God. See Him as He truly is, and also see others as God sees them.

Messiah was to heal the broken-hearted. He was to bind up their wounds and restore their hope. By healing the sick and diseased, Yeshua restored hope and faith.

Like leprosy, sin begins as something small but eventually grows into something big. It dulls the senses, can make us unclean, separates us, and affects our vision.

Messiah was to open the eyes of the blind, heal the lame, and give hearing. He was to heal the sick and do many miracles. Yeshua did all of that healing and more.

Messiah was to be the restorer of Israel and bring salvation not only to Israel but also to the Gentiles. His message was to reach every corner of the world.

Messiah was to be a covenant for the people and a bringer of light to the Gentiles. Yeshua became that light and that glory as spoken in Luke 2: 29-32 (NIV).

Messiah was to be called the light of the morning. As the light of the morning, He was to shine upon all and restore to people hope. Shine to bring forth life.

It was in the darkness of the land of Galilee that the Messiah’s ministry was to begin. There, the people of Galilee were to see a great light - the Light of God.

The feasts of the LORD are appointed festivals, or, as Pastor Craig Hill likes to say, appointed times of the Lord that the Israelites were called to observe.
