In His Perfect Image
 

Messiah was to be praised by children and infants. They were to recognize the Creator of all. And worship, praise, and exalt Him. Children shouted Hosanna to Yeshua.

Messiah was to come humbly to Jerusalem. He was to be very lowly, humble, and gentle. His gentleness was to be well accepted and craved for - a healing balm.

Messiah was to enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey. A proclamation that in peace He will come and not in order to war. Yeshua indeed entered Jerusalem on a donkey.

Messiah was to be proclaimed as King in Jerusalem. He was to be recognized and praised by the people. Yeshua was recognized as King of Israel by the people.

Messiah was to be revealed at Jerusalem. Daughter Jerusalem was to rejoice at His arrival. That is how it was to be. That is how the Most High willed it to be.

The scepter was not to depart from Judah until Shiloh was to come, and to Him was to be the obedience of all. Shiloh is the Messianic title of the Messiah.

Melchizedek, the “King of righteousness” and the “King of peace,” was the King of Jerusalem when Abraham walked the Earth. He was the priest of the Most High.

Messiah’s first coming was scheduled for a specific day. It was set in stone and determined firmly. Predicted and prophecied it was, and in the end fulfilled.

Messiah was to pour out the Holy Spirit on all the thirsty, on all who believe. From within them, the rivers of living water shall spring forth and bring good fruit.

Yeshua is the Bread of Life. He is our fresh manna in the desert. Our fresh revelation of who we are, what season we are in, and who God is. He gives us life.

Messiah was to be struck down and the sheep scattered. But afterwards, He was to take good care of His flock. Yeshua was put to death, but then He rose again.

Messiah’s ear was to be opened and He was not to rebel. He was to remain obedient unto God’s ways to the full. Despite how hard it was, Yeshua did not disobey.

The common people and the poor were to know who the Messiah was. They were to recognize Him and follow Him. It was to them that the Messiah was to reveal Himself. 

The message Messiah was to bring was to make the hearts of the Jews calloused. Harden-hearted they were to become and fail to receive the message of salvation.

The mouths of kings were to be closed in astonishment at the teachings of the Messiah. Astonishment did occur many times with Yeshua, as many were left astounded.

A great work Yahweh was to do in Israel. A work that would destroy the wisdom of the wise and confound them. And it was to be so through the message of the Messiah.

Messiah was to give the true meaning of the law. And He was to come to fulfill it. Yeshua did so. He came to exalt it and expanded our understanding of it.

When Messiah was to come, many of those who would have eyes to see and ears to hear would not understand Him. He was to teach in parables and reveal things hidden.

The Messiah was to teach by using parables. It was all so that an ancient prophecy would be fulfilled. Yeshua did fulfill it as stated in Matthew 13: 34-35 (NIV). 

Messiah shall be called counselor. The Hebrew word used here is ya’ats. It means one who can give good advice. A great guide who will take you down the correct path.
